Remembrance gifts

Over the years, our donors have chosen a special way to make gifts to Hill Country Memorial Hospital to honor the memory of friends or family members or to celebrate a special individual.

Remembrance Gifts, great or small, are appreciated, and together they are critical to the patient care programs that the hospital is able to provide.

The Tree of  Life

The Tree of Life is located in the main lobby of Hill Country Memorial Hospital. It is a tribute to those who have made Hill Country Memorial Hospital the Hill Country's greatest volunteer effort.

Your gifts to the Tree of Life may be cumulative over a period of 12 months. These are the giving levels and benefits you will receive in recognition of your support:

> $1,000 to 9,999
Leaf on the Tree of Life and recognition in the hospital's quarterly newsletter, Progress.

> $10,000 and up
Donor Stone under the Tree of Life and recognition in Progress.

Charitable Gift Annuity

A gift annuity makes it possible to transfer cash or marketable securities such as stocks or bonds to the HCMH Foundation. In exchange, the gifter or his or her designee will receive fixed payments for life.

Since these payout rates are based on actuarial tables, they are much better than those offered by current certificates of deposit. HCMH Foundation, in cooperation with the hospital's human resources department, provides educational assistance to employees and others interested in starting or continuing a health career. If you would like to donate funds for this purpose, or if you are interested in finding out more about the educational assistance program, call the Foundation office at 830-997-1297.
